Bug Hotel making with Young Steps

During October half-term I had the pleasure of running a 1 hour bug hotel making workshop with Young Steps in Luton. The aim of this session was to get the young people thinking about how they could take care of the wildlife over the autumn / winter.

Each of the 25 young people were given a tin can and had the opportunity to get creative by decorating it with paint pens, wool, gems and stickers. Once they had decorated them they then had the chance to fill them with lots of natural resources I had collected from the garden. Here are some of the incredible designs:

The young people could then take these home to hang on a tree or fence.
